Since starting to teach herself to play at the age of 11, Donna’s professional manner has enabled her to work her way through a variety of function and cover bands alongside continuing her school/college studies during which she completed 2 part-time courses in Intermediate Drumming at the commended Academy of Contemporary Music, Surrey in 1995 where she had the privilege of studying with drumming greats such as Jim Chapin, Dom Famularo, Laurence Hall and Mark Richardson.

In 2004 Donna was accepted onto the Degree course in Contemporary Popular Music at the Academy of Contemporary Music, where she again had the pleasure to study and work with some of the UK’s leading drummers including Pete Riley, Mike Sturgis, Bill Bruford, and Thomas Lang to name but a few. After 2 years of studying and gigging, Donna graduated with a BA (Hons) Degree. She now enjoys a busy and diverse life as a freelance drummer working all over the country specialising in rock and pop, deps and sessions.

Donna prides herself on being a flexible, dynamic solid drummer who has already proved herself as a competent session musician. Her experience has covered extensive live work as well as many studio sessions in a variety of popular music styles. Donna is both an acoustic and electronic kit user as well as being competent at playing to a click. Her playing style is all about the feel and creating a great groove. A very passionate and creative player, Donna Peters is a solid drummer who is professional in whatever she does.
